Popping in to wish you guys the best of 2010, although I'm a few days late here. :> Also, how was your holidays? Tell me all about it, fffft! (I will get to my flist later because, augh, homework so much homework. I've been taking way too many naps and my happiness levels have dropped by over 9000 since break has ended even though I wasn't cheery the whole way through that, either. :| )
Seeing the family wasn't nearly as bad as I imagined, but unfortunately it involves putting up a bit of a front for me to get through things. Alas.(Taking a moment to be all AWGGGGHHGH over presents: art books for several Disney/Pixar moves + Kung Fu Panda, including Mulan which is out of print. GLORIOUS. ♥ Eddie Izzard DVD, How I Met Your Mother season 1 which I've always wanted to get into, Owl City- Ocean Eyes, The Hush Sound- So Sudden, Up DVD, plus several other great things of geekery. Unf, lovely.)
Secrets (that aren't quite proper secrets, I guess, but you know):
-My one 'rock studio' class is making me lose all love of playing bass. I do it for fun, really; I know I'm not good and I only took the class because my instructor was pressuring me. Now all it's doing is stressing me out unholy amounts because I know I'm not nearly as good as like all of the other students and now he wants me to listen to bass lines in songs and analyze which notes are being played. I'm terrible at the mechanics of music and started freaking out internally when he brought it up. I wish I had dropped the class when I had the chance. D:
-New guilty pleasure: fandomsecrets. It's making me sad I'm not actively involved in any fandoms, though. :/
-I spent way, way too much of my break on TVTropes and thatguywiththeglasses.com. DEAR SELF, STOP IT. NO LOVE, ME.
-I hatehatehate when people dislike a song because of the ~*~genre~*~ it's in. Especially pop. IT'S POPULAR, NOW IT SUCKS!!!!1!
