i usually only sleep this early when i'm supposed to be working or studying for something, but i've been sleepless (not in seattle, though. no budget for trips this year, dammit)the whole week, and my body's begging to be horizontal and in deep slumber.
but anyway,
batwoman's batting for the other team. i'm still undecided on how to feel about this.
it's not the homosexuality i'm against. if they make a new comic with all gay characters, i'd probably be one of the first to get my hands on it. two of my closest friends in college were gay. and the only problem i had with that is everytime we had to pull an all-nighter for a project or something, he'd bring his boy-on-boy porn and she'd bring her girl-on-girl stuff. did they ever think of maybe bringing some vanilla hetero porn for me? no, the dimwits. so i always ended up sleeping while they mocked each other's porn stash ("eeeew, girls"..."yuck, ano yan? can you say horse-y?"..."ahahaha, WHAT ARE THEY DOING????"). in retrospect, that worked well for me. they ended up doing all the work since they couldn't very well blame me for falling asleep.
it's just everything i remember and loved as a child is being changed. change is good, i know, but i miss seeing strawberry shortcake before this weird makeover they gave her. and the transformers without the beastly drama. and he-man with that prince valiant haircut (with bangs!!!), which reminds me of another childhood love: gelatin. what was that brand again? hunt's? alsa? the mascot was this little boy with the yellow pageboy 'do?
i want to be able to pick up a comic book and relive all those times when happiness is a magnolia ice cream cup and a new figurine panini sticker pack.
then again, who on earth is batwoman?!?
...
you know what i noticed? how come there aren't a lot of asian girl comic book characters (obviously, i'm not talking about anime). and if they do have asian girls, they're always chinese or japanese, NEVER anyone from south or southeast asia. what, are we not that hot that they can't put big-chested, long-haired, acrobatic versions of us in the darn things?
but anyway, one of the girls in the class i've been sneaking into (i'm not registered) looks like
jubilee (with maybe a little bit of
jenny shimizu thrown in). from the hair to the eyes to that barely bridled energy - it's uncanny. i just couldn't keep my eyes off her.
and this is exactly why gay rumors about me start every now and then.
