Draft
Hmmm... it appears that there are plans for a "special skills draft", where they draft only special skills such as:
- arabic linguist
- computers

i thought i was in the clear, but the max age is 44 yrs old.
I meet those requirements plus a third, as I used to be in
the Air Force and have additional skills.
it would suck to be drafted. I would rather be working
as a civilian for a defense contractor, at least I'd get
paid more. This is something to think about -- even if I get
a job in Canada I'd still be subject to draft as I'm not looking to run away or anything like that (i have a daughter in the States).
