did this really just happen? can I have a tranquilizer now?

today is weird. really, really weird. Out of the 8 of us I am the only person home, well leena is here or she was about an hour ago. This story starts about 2 1/2hrs ago. Like I said, there are 8 of us that live in flat c1c. One is a newish arrival, she is a quite sweet little asian girl, Leena. Does some odd things every now and then but mostly she is just a ghost.

My room is at the end of the hall near the buzzer, if you want in, you buzz. There are also work men above me banging on stuff. about 2 1/2hrs ago i heard banging, normal. But after a while I started to hear muffled screams with the banging, unusual, so i looked outside. There at the end of the hall was Leena's mom (interesting first time to meet the lady) banging on the door to our flat. So I let her in. I thought maybe they were having a tiff, it seemed like family business so I made myself scarce.

Then she started pounding on her door, which became screaming kicking and pounding. This lasted a while, a good 15min. Eventually i tried to sneak into the kitchen and grab some coffee. Her mom came into the kitchen after me, this was an uncomfortable situation. Her mother was frazzled, she wanted something from me but because of language barriers i didn't know what. so she left and banged on the door some more so I followed her outside to see what I could do. there was her mom huddled against the base on Leena's door screaming. This is me being really fucking confused about boundaries, is this a family fight? should i get involved? through various hand motions we communicated something, basically for her to follow me. I took her mom to athlone to explain that there is some kind of emergency and we need the key to her daughters room. Her mom can't speak very much english, but fear is universal. As we left her dad came in.

We brought a security guard back with us to open the door. inside her room there was nothing, no bedding, nothing just leena locked inside her bathroom. the security guard tried to open it, our house keeper got the knife, more security were called and then more house keeper people. I could hear them radioing a carpenter to take off the door, IMMEDIATELY. Then I mention that the door isn't that strong and that my lock and nob just kinda fell off by themselves.

At this point I leave to give space since all and all there are 3 house keepers, 2 parents and a few security guards. on my way to my room my housekeeper (one of the coolest guys ever) tells me that he has seen her parents trying to get in for the last few hours, walking around frantically. I can hear people coming and going. There are so many different voices, each with ideas, each speaking with a tone of concern and urgency.

Eventually the door is kicked down.

You'd think this would be the climatic moment, but there were only a few muffled voices. Things grew quieter. I thought I heard someone knock at my door, so i went out. But it was my house keeper going in and out of the kitchen. Looking down the hall i realize that 1/2 the people that were huddled around the door are M.I.A., he tells me that the security guards have left to call an ambulance. he tells me when they kicked opened the door it was like she hadn't noticed. She didn't move, she couldn't stand and couldn't speak. Not wouldn't, but couldn't. On the bright side she was breathing. For 5-10 min everything is ire and still in the corridor. Then there are paramedics.

After they have gone the security and housing officials interview me, and all i can say is that I don't really know her, and that i have no idea what is going on. Now there are wardens going in and out of her empty room and I don't know what to make of what just happened. All I know is that my tummy feels funny and my heart is beating rather quickly. What the hell just happened? I wish someone would tell me if she is alright, or at least if she is going to be alright. this is surreal.
