saving it for a rainy day....

Months and months since I last posted. Every time I sat down to post something, it's like my mind froze and I couldn't even make sense of all my thoughts.

I recall my last few posts being about my grandmother passing, and missing her. Sad to say that a little over a month ago, my other grandmother (Dads mom) passed away...unexpectedly, but she went peacefully in her sleep. Unfortunately, I wasn't as close to her as my Grandma Eileen, but I'm still going to miss my Grandma Farris, the firecracker that she was. Needless to say, I'm good on funerals for a while.

Things with work could be better. Waiting for the owners to finalize their divorce so we can ALL move on. Trying to give the bosses wife a fair chance of running the place, but I'm wearing thin. (some of you may recall some ugly things she's said to me outside of work, one of my MANY reasons for being over it.)

After 7 1/2 years of marriage, my hubs and I finally got our matching tattoos. BEST CASE SCENARIO. Inspired by comedy from Lewis C.K., the best case scenario for a relationship is finding the person of your dreams, you get married, grow old together, then one of you dies. Kinda morbid, but true. =P

In other good news, my Mom and I are going on a trip at the end of the month. Since I was a teen, she's wanted to visit New Mexico and we're finally going! It's been over 6 years since our last mother/daughter trip and this one is definitely needed. Can't wait to spend time with my Mom, enjoy cooler temps and see beautiful Santa Fe.

I'll post some random pics and such soon. :)
