so winter break happened. got to hangout with shirls for the first time since brandeis which was awesome and saw eric whose been living in brazil for almost 2 years - and spent quality time with the fam. it was a nice break. i got back this past friday and now i'm hours away from flying to CA for the next few days. i'm still feeling nervous about the flight. traveling alone is scarier by flight i guess when you dont fly often. im sitting with tink right now and i just want to be back home with her and oliver fastforwarding 4 or so days from now. i'm supposed to "wake up" about 6.5 hours from now. i spent all yesterday watching the entire LOTR series which made me want to read the books sort of. i hope the heels i'm bringing arent too ridiculously high or that at least one other girl at one of the house parties david's bringing me to will be wearing heels as high as mine. they're really (really) high. they make my red pumps look tame.
i got everything i needed to get done done today - picked up my birth control though they didnt have microgestin at the CVS i got it at - they gave my "Junel" which im hoping doesnt give me different side effects. maybe i can switch it when i get back. got i feel really nervous about flying. i wish i could watch a twilight zone to distract me but i watched them all. The picture for "January" for my monet calendar is creepy - it's a train with headlights that look like eyes that'll be staring at me as i start classes. yikes. i got another litter box today finally and it's much better - much roomier. i made plans to hangout a bit with Lori Bordzuk and Rasa Petrauskite while im in SF which is cool - so many reunions lately.
i think i'm going to take the NY bar course at GW and just keep living here - being at home probably would be a bad idea in terms of studying even though it would save me a lot. argh. i met with the judge who asked me to let her know when i was in queens but she just offered an unpaid internship - however - she did provide help by connecting me with her daughter who went to GW law - was a deans fellow - and now works for DA brown in queens, anyway she told me i dont need to take Tax, that Trial ad is helpful (i'm still nervous about this) and that i shouldnt worry about the bar or jobs but start looking in early feb...also that she took most of Bar Bri at GW and felt it was a really good course (of course i dont know what her financial situation was but it really would be good if i could just keep taking classes here).
