things don't make sense
I found out today that one of my friends from high school was hit by a car yesterday and died instantly. She was in ROTC and was picking up garbage on the side of the road when an SUV hit her. She was even wearing an orange vest and far from the road and was working against traffic. She took all the proper procautions, yet her life was still cut short by this horrible accident. She was an honor student, played the flute in band with me, and was in the school musicals. She was the sweetest girl you could ever meet and she was going to graduate in June. It was the day of the prom, and they announced it at the prom last night. In times like this I ask God why he would do such a thing. This is the 4th person from my high school to die this year. I don't know how my community can deal with it, but they've managed. I'm still in shock. I can't believe she's dead and I don't know if I'll be able to deal with going to her funeral. WHY is all I can think. WHY???????????????????
