I finally saw "The Audition" today. Not as disgusting as I thought but it was still good, oddly enough I watched it with my mom.
I was going to go the Interpol/Blonde Redhead show dressed in '60s attire but my dress was too big so I wore regular clothes. Damn, I really hate shows now. I hate the people. They smoke and drink too much and old men give me creepy glances. Also, sold out shows are the worst because there are too many idiots dancing off beat and bumping into me. The crowd was a strange assortment: indie kids, aging hipsters, goths, and frat boys. Some guy went and got some more beer for his greasy tittied girlfriend and had the nerve to say "No one groped you while I was gone right?" With all of these distasteful observations I'm starting to sound alotlike Daniel Clowes.
Blonde Redhead > Interpol
I'm a mega fan now. I have "Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons" (illegally, I'm ashamed)so I bought "Misery is a Butterfly" to make up for it. I would have bought "Melody..." too but I was 4 bucks short. The music was just so pretty and the majority of the crowd didn't know their songs so no drunken frats boys bumping into me is a plus! The female singer, Kazu, is memorizing. I liked everything, I'm so impressed.
Interpol was boring and they did not play my fav song "Stella was a Diver..".Some black guy talked to me about Blonde Redhead during their set so that was fun, too bad he wasn't attractive.
I'm going to watch the rest of "..But I'm a Cheerleader". Clea DuVall is making me have lesbian tendencies.
