Gunman opens fire at a Damageplan concert and kills Dimebag Darrell, one of heavy metal's finest guitarists. It was probably some crazy Pantera fan who blames him for the Pantera breakup but whatever you don't take a gun to the concert and start shooting members, that's just sick. I got so close to seeing Pantera in 2001, they called off their tour because of Bin Laden and all that shit.
God this is so fucked up. I read an interview with Phil Anselmo the other day in which he does describe the breakup of Pantera but also explains that a reunion wasn't impossible. It would have happened, one of the biggest metal bands of all time would have got back together. Whether this will happen or not I don't know. But I don't know who could play the solo for "Cemetary Gates" without feeling a little bit of sadness....
