Wednesday Evening, Hook's Apartment.

Aug 03, 2011 19:12

It was a broodish day, that Wednesday, when Captain Hook stared long and hard. The mirror's reflection before him, he cursed the evidence his eyes could not deny. Patches of skin, losing pallor and turning grey, life and health seeming to drain away.

He muttered under his breath, a violent urge in his heart. His mind cried out for vengeance, for bloodshed at this atrocious turn of events. He was not a man of youth, but this was far beyond the curse of aging. With a roar from the depths of his chest, passing out his lips with a sputter of sputum, he smashed the mirror with his hook. The shards tumbled to the floor, as he cursed to high heaven and to horrid hell.

He fumed there for a moment, before going to pour himself a glass of sherry. It would be followed by another, and another. His body may betray him, but he refused to give it the satisfaction of ruining his mood.
