Copper River time...
QFC has whole Copper River salmon on sale for $6.99/lb, and they cut into 4 steaks and 2 filets at no charge. Of course this meant it was time to buy! I have a cedar plank that came with several rubs (done by the guy who runs Seastar in Bellevue) that had not been used as of yet. Right now there are two large fillets resting in the refrigerator that have been rubbed down. Now it's time to cut the veggies....I'm not much of a cook, so I hope this comes out edible :)
Interesting thing happened when I checked out - before my QFC card got scanned, the total was over $80 (for the salmon, veggies, milk), once the discount for the salmon went through, the price dropped to $42 and change! Woot!
