Assistance on a quest...
Many years ago, I was wandering around in the Bridle Trails State Park - I was off the trails exploring and I found a clearing. In this clearing was a beautiful old tree that seemed to radiate a sense of peace and happiness. I spent about an hour with that tree before I headed back out and on home.
Over the years, I have wandered the park on occasion and have not been able to find my clearing or tree. A few weeks ago, I used Google Maps with the satellite overlay and think I might have located the clearing...and possibly the tree (47.654736,-122.168238). Wendi and I went out a couple of Sundays ago and tried to find it with no luck.
Is there anybody on my friends list with a portable GPS unit that they would trust me with? Since I think I have the coordinates for the area, having something that will tell me where I am in relation to that would be most beneficial. I would only need the unit for a weekend and I'd be super careful. There are no trails that go directly to the clearing so it's really hard to locate.
I am not sure why I am suddenly feeling the need to find the tree again - the last time I looked for it was about 5 years ago, but now it's like I HAVE to find it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
