Mom just called - they think that Grandma's immune system is failing so they did a blood transfusion to see if that would help. Grandma is also going into surgery today to fix the opening that connect her esophogus to her stomach (she would not do the surgery two years ago, opted for botox injections to loosen the muscle) that continues to malfunction & causes stuff to back up into her lungs leading to aspiration pneumonia. Dad is on his way over to Port Angeles to see her before she goes in since one never knows what is going to happen during a surgery.
