A few students walked past the gates that had the characters forming Gakuin High inscribed on it. Shuichi stood just off campus, dreading the day ahead of him. She didn't comment on the eye patch. In fact, she didn't seem to even notice it. She looked like she was still half asleep, with eyes that were still a little red from Friday night. It now looked like she'd spent the last day or two crying or that she hadn't slept for awhile rather than like she'd been drugged.

She wasn't worried about what Wakashi might find on her. She'd already told him she was adopted into the Sawada family when they'd first met. Beyond that, mostly he'd only find rumors and speculation about potential candidates for her marriage, which was currently the biggest news related to the blonde. She was the only heir to her grandfather's legitimate and underground businesses, so there was plenty of speculation about the topic.
If he wanted to know real facts, he'd have to ask her directly. Her grandfather had eliminated most of the data associated with her history before she'd come to Japan, having spent a small fortune on hackers to remove all traces of her medical and criminal records. If he was lucky, he might learn about her parent's deaths or the time she was kidnapped, but that would take pouring over old newspapers from Boston and New York.
