Summer in the Park
Great weather. Great event. Began with pick-ups. Then a knight-seeded unbelt speed tournament. Then a short TOC. At that point we had to go home, but planned was splitting into small groups with each knight teaching a brief class on anything. And more fighting. And discussion with the chiv. Would have been great to stay.
So - since you are all wondering by now. In her second bout in the unbelt tourney, the daughter - who had left off her shoulder armor due to first forgetting it and then getting over-optimistic - got thumped right on the point of the shoulder really hard. Neither immobilizing it nor ibuprofen kept it from feeling worse and we went when it was obvious she was not at all happy. By the time we got home, she was a bit better. In pain but reasonably happy to be distracted as long as it was trussed and immobile. Swollen, and can't bear to move the arm at all though. Had to cut the tunic off. Urgent cares all seemed to be shut by that point, and I think we'll see how the night goes.
