This is briliant; however, I'd like to suggest potato salad in addition to / in replacement of mashed potatoes.

Well, this was just part of a silly list of things I thought would be fun to try to whip up in my spare time over the break. I love potato salad, and it's on the list somewhere; the mashed potatoes up there I thought would go well with the fried chicken.
