Katy Perry made me cry, maybe a move, and a Happy New Year!
Okay I'm always late to the party but seriously, when I first watched this video (tonight) I started to cry. I am such a girl :< it started with the girl at the party [totally knowing the feeling] and when the girl with cancer walked in on the woman giving birth it got worse and then when the chubby girl started to strip I completely lost it.
While I dry my tears, I have exciting news! I might be moving into my great aunt's house! This came about when one of my best friends, Noosh, told me that her parents were already starting to arrange her marriage. See, Noosh is Muslim and her parents are traditional where as Noosh is more Americanized. She told me she needed to run away, this is a girl who doesn't even know who she's attracted to, doesn't even know if she wants children, and is terrified of being trapped in a loveless marriage. So, with the help of my dad, he's going to try to convince my grandfather to give us the key to his sister's (my great aunt) home which hasn't been lived in for 8 years. We're both going to have to get jobs and I'm going to have to learn how to drive but for the first time in my life I'm actually excited to be an adult! The house isn't that far from where I live now so my dad could come and check on us whenever he wants and it's right across from the home of my brother's friend and he is always over there so Nick could just walk over and visit us. Seriously, I'm actually ready for all the work it will take for us to move in together.
It's the best thing to potentially happen to us. I'll learn to embrace being an adult and I'll be able to comfort my best friend while she deals with leaving her family.
