Hmm I need to update...

Not too much to talk about though. Today I had two [count 'em TWO] midterms. Psyc didn't go so well but Classics was fairly straight foreward [yay democracy!].

Shacker's paper is finally done [minus the conclusion]. Also read the Slave Narratives for a bit. I thought from the way Tam couldn't bring herself to read them that they'd be horrible but they're not bad at all [well the text anyways, the events are pretty hideous]. Maybe they just seem all the better in comparison to Oroonoko [ANYthing is better than that].

Hmm what else? I'm going home this weekend so yay! My parents were up this on Saturday to visit me and after they left I felt really homesick for no reason [I don't think I've felt that way since first semester last year]. I think it's probably because I've been going home so regularly this semester that I've gotten used to seeing them more often. Also, Dad's operation is set for the 9th of November so this may be my last weekend home for a while [depending on how long he takes to recuperate] since he obviously won't be able to drive me and I really don't feel like bothering my grandmother or my uncle into driving me home. We decided that for a lot of reasons it would probably be best if I stayed at school while Dad was having his operation.

Ok enough of that, on to other stuff. Justin hit a record high last week - 195 lever presses. We went to weigh him today and he's huge, almost 500 grams. He is literally 100 grams heavier than some of the other rats there. That's ok though, it kinda scares me how small he gets by the end of the week [last week he lost nearly 50 grams]. I can't wait to take him home so he won't have to go through that anymore. This past week he seemed a lot more edgy than usual and I think it's because food deprivation is getting to him [especially the roller-coaster diet he's on - NOT healthy]. He's going to be so angry at Andrew and I this week because on Thursday and Friday we do extinction [ie when he presses the lever he doesn't get a sucrose pellet].

Trisha bought a cage for Tompkins last week. It's sooooooo cute. It's supposed to be a 'space station' so the exercise wheel's glow-in-the-dark and the sides have sparkles embedded in the plastic. Like Tompkins will really care I'm sure ^^;. I really want to get a ball for Justin to roll around the house in [not the townhouse obviously 'cause there's stairs - oh god, horrible mental picture!!]. Definitly making a trip to PetSmart this weekend. YAY!
