Moving Day
It has of course been far too long since I've posted, and all that. And my last post promised photos from Perth, which I do have, but I'm not going to post them today. Sorry about that. But I have an excuse! It is:
One of the things I haven't posted about that's happened since April is our landlord decided he wanted to extensively renovate the house we're renting (my suspicion is that should read: start a new lease with rent more in line with the current market value, which is much higher than we've been paying), so we have to get out. So we started looking for a place, and many adventures were had that are the subject of other stories, but before too long had passed we had signed a lease for a place not too far from here, and managed to get them to delay the date our lease starts so that we'd have a week to pack (and purely coincidentally our rent day doesn't change), which we of course then mostly frittered away on foolish things like work and classes and eating and sleeping and internet. But that brings us to today, which is Moving Day!
Which is why I'm up at this time, drinking coffee and posting to livejournal, instead of putting the finishing touches on having my room in a state to be transplanted. So I should probably sign off now and go unplug the internet (*moan, wail, gnash of teeth*).
