1. Zeus (Jupiter) - The chief god, ruled men and the other gods. The “thunder lord”, son of Cronos.
2. Apollo (Apollo) - The god of light, music, youth archery, prophecy, and healing. He was the son of Zeus and Leto.
3. Dionysus (Bacchus) - was the god of wine, fertility and joy.
4. Hades (Pluto) - was the god of the underworld, he was one of the sons of Cronos. His name is used to refer to his domain, the underworld itself.
5. Hephaestus (Vulcan) - the lame smith god of fire and metal-working. He was also the master of the arts associated with it. He made many magical objects used by the gods and by mortals.
6. Hermes (Mercury) - the god flocks and travelers he was also the messenger of the gods and guide for the souls of the dead on their way to Hades. The son of Zeus and Maia.
7. Poseidon (Neptune) - the god of the sea, earthquakes and horses, was the son of Cronos and Rhea, the brother of Zeus and Hades.
8. Hera (Juno) - the queen goddess, she was the goddess of birth and marriage. She was 2nd in command to her husband and her brother Zeus.
9. Aphrodite (Venus) - the goddess of love beauty, and fertility. The daughter of Zeus and Dione, the unfaithful wife of Hephaestus.
10. Artemis (Diana) - the goddess of hunting, virginity, and childbirth. The daughter of Zeus and Leto. Her realm was the forest, where she hunted wild animals.
11. Athena (Minerva) - was 2nd only to Zeus in terms of reverence. She was a marital goddess and was also the goddess of woman’s peaceful arts, crafts, wisdom and war. She embodied the spirit of truth and wisdom.
12. Demeter (Ceres) - the goddess of crops, harvest, particularly that of corn and the fertility of the earth.
13. Ares (Mars) - the god of war and storms especially hurricanes.
