THIS POST IS  SPOILER FREE

Ok.  This is very difficult for me to say, because I love Sam and Dean so much and you've made me care about these characters.  However....  I'm not sure if you can count on me to hang on through all of season three.  And, yeah, I'm aware it hasn't even started filming yet.

You see, I got on board halfway through season 1 because Jensen took his shirt off and basically something busted in my brain.  I stayed because I was drawn in by the mythology.  And very hot boys.

Season 2 had better cinematography, effects and acting, but I must admit, the individual episodes didn't grab me as much as they did in the first season.  Yes, there were a few amazing stories, but there were some that I really fucking hated.  But I kept watching because I really wanted Sam and Dean to get the demon.

Last season I was concerned about some changes you started to make in the show's direction.  I still don't approve of everything, but it wasn't so bad. However, having read some of the new spoilers and sides, I need to say that I am concerned. Really concerned.  More worried than I was when you introduced Jo.  (I was NOT a fan.)

At one point I would have said that I'll wait and see what you do and relax and not worry... to trust that you are doing the right thing.  But, my lack of LOVE for season two's writing has me hesitating to give you that trust. I'm at a point where I think the fanfiction stories (The GEN Ones!!!) are actually better than what you and your staff have been giving us.

I know why you want to make these changes, but I don't think they are a good idea.  You built this show on the premise of brothers - two main characters - and though it is probably too much to hang on your leads, it was that focus that kept me coming back week after week.  You are trying to add to the cast to ease up on the boys - but this threatens to change the vibe - and it wasn't broken - not from a fan perspective.

I warn you against trying to change horses mid-stream.  This past season, every week your ratings in the US dropped. A lot. Despite a stellar finale that definitely delivered... you have more to prove this year than you did last.  For me, you are dangling from a string.  I'm sure I'm not the only fan to feel that way.

I'm worried.

I'll refrain from saying much more about it until I see the first few episodes, and I really hope you have success, I want this show to succeed, but I want you to be very careful how you proceed, or else there won't be a Supernatural Season 4.

I still love you,
CG
