Just the other day I was buying some food/at my local tesco store
There I was! Just wandering from the checkout to buy a caramel kitkat chunky when who should I spy just to my right but, yes you guessed it! Our Leader!
Unfortunatley I was a little too overcome by his close proximity to be able to greet him appropriately. He told me that he had been 'sent on a drinks run'. I was in the process of purchasing a chocolate torte, some humous, pitta and crisps with white_city_girl. white_city_girl was a little too overcome by his very presence and remained by the check-out.
We bade our leader a deferent goodbye as he went to buy said drink and walked to the other side of the Elephant and Castle. As we stood on the street corner, having collected fellow Cult Followers spinfast and shoopy55 on the way, I happened to be demonstrating the appropriate Cult of PhilRAR greeting when ... Shock! Horror! Who should emerge for the second time in one evening but of course our venerable guru carrying his a recently purchased crate of Stella Artois.
He was surprised to find that I was engaging in the greeting without yet having seen his approach. So fellow Cult members, here's a tip - always ensure that PhilRAR is in your line of vision before beginning or demonstrating the greeting. Our Leader does not approve of the greeting being used when not consciously in his presence.
What an experience that was, eh? Twice in one evening. I am truly honoured.
