Over for Another Year
Christmas has once again over far too fast. But it was great while it lasted. We had one of my brothers, Justin, and Leanne (Barry's sister) over for the holidays. The dinner was gorgeous. Whoever said too many cooks spoil the broth. It's usually just me and Barry cooking, but Justin (who has worked in restaurants for years and loves cooking) helped out and made everything even better than normal. This despite the fact that the kitchen pipes were frozen, meaning we had to take out the u-bend and let the water drain into a bucket, which constantly had to be emptied into the bathroom >_< I should just be thankfully said pipe has now thawed without bursting (like so many over the rest of the country, leading to so many leaks places are having droughts!).
The rest of the day we just spent watching our new DVDs and me putting together my new doll house!

It wasn't even 4pm and the lights were already on >_< I went into a shop a few minutes later and by the time I came out, it was very dark

The front of City Hall. Excuse the mess; a day or two before the area in front of the building was full of hut and sheds for the Continental Market. Usually (when it isn't snowing) the area has lovely green lawns where people often go to have lunch when the weather is mild or warm
The street that leads to the front of City Hall. They've just erected the two bronze statues, which commemorate ships build here, such as the Titanic. I think there are a few going up elsewhere

My first attempt at baking gingerbread cookies, and first attempt ever at icing something. Need to do something with more colour next time

- A doll house to make (it and the furniture have been assembled. Now I just have to decorate it, permanently glue it all together, and make additional things for it, curtains and such. Shall be loads of fun!)

- A sewing machine, which I've already figured out how to use. Just need to get comfortable with it and then make stuff!

- The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ by Philip Pullman
- A book that has loads of techniques and such to help me learn how to sew properly
- A cute wee book about cats
