The weather's nice, and I'm not extremely stressed about school (though I probably should be).

PotC3 was really fun. The movie was way worse than it could've been, but I still liked it (a lot).
SAT IIs were swell, and I'm getting over the seniors no longer being in school.
Chem is fun, and Phil Lit is over! Phil Lit was really fun, but

Well let's see... There was the incredibly confusing plot, for starters.
The boy with the braces, the random death of the Kraken (without a battle or anything), the predictablility of it, and the amount of times one simply has to suspend all disbelief all took away from it's general awesomeness.
Keira Knightly would not have remained spotlessly clean, with make up on [and shaved legs] throughout the whole movie. Whatever, one can let that slide, since she's hot. The last scene was just gross though. It would've been cute if it wasn't so Hygenically Wrong!
The fighting on the mast/beam that support the sail basically defied gravity, physics, and common sense, while at the same time proving that Davy Jones and Jack Sparrow are/were crazy-ninja-squirrels.
Large ships aren't made to flip so easily, although they do usually travel better if their sails aren't full of holes.
Speaking of sails, Jack Sparrow had an interesting 'parachute' handy. The Jack being able to get out of anything in crazy ways was overdone, but poorly so. It just got ridiculous.
On the subject of Jack Sparrow: Why waste time with his dad? [AND MOM!?!?] It wasn't necessary or especially funny.

I could continue ranting about the flaws of the movie, but I'll end this with the disclaimer that I did really enjoy the movie! I definately recommend it (unlike Spiderman 3, oy vey). :)
Perhaps I'm being overly critical, but would you love me if I was any other way? ;)

There was the incredibly confusing plot, for starters. I really just don't see how it was that confusing ... I mean, if by "confusing" you mean "well-written" or "requiring thought and attention to dialogue," then that makes more sense, but.

the random death of the Kraken (without a battle or anything) I'm fairly certain they make a few direct references to the fact that the short general dude ordered Davy Jones to kill it so that it wouldn't go after the EIC?

Why waste time with his dad? As an excuse to put Keith Richards, the guy Depp modeled Jack after, in the movie...
