Craaaaaaap!
I really don't want to get back into A-Team fanfic. Nope, don't wanna. Not gonna happen.
That's how all this started, BTW, fifteen years ago or so. (Goddamn, I'm old!) Back then Sockii was running the show, er, mailing group, and there was a really great core group of people involved. Then it got weird. Then it got even weirder when the Internet really took off and I had mistakenly used my real name for stories that were now easily found by anyone.
sigh.
And, yeah, I went to see the movie and it was many things: cute, disappointing, ripe for slashy fanfic. But still, I wasn't falling back into it. Since Sockii stepped away, after all, it hadn't been particularly well managed.
But somehome I stumbled upon/tracked down/searched for/found The A-Team Kink Meme this weekend.
whimper.
And to my abject horror/relief/enjoyment, the movie has seemed to inspire some fantastic fics that the original series never could. I feel like such a traitor!
(Then again, maybe it's payback for Dirk Benedict turning out to be such a die-hard conservative, male chauvanist.)
Although, I still can't help feeling that people who write Hannibal/Face these days are actually channeling Gibbs/DiNozzo...
