ridiculously great

I promise I'll spare you all the wonderful details but this is one of the best weekends I've had in QUITE awhile.  So I posted last week that I was leaning towards not going until I woke up on Friday morning knowing full well that I could not NOT go.  So I went.  And man am I glad I did.

Rebecca and Jennifer left right after our usual Friday night happy hour at El Tejano.  Susie and I waited around until 8:00 and arrived in Clemson close to 9:00.  I knew parking would be a bitch so I decided I would just find a spot and keep it the entire weekend.  My first try was the Wyatt and I was lucky enough to get the last visitors spot.  Susie and I trekked from the Wyatt ALL THE WAY to the Esso.  Not only do I usually hate that place but this time we had to pay a $5 cover.  The things I do for my friends!  Once there we met up with Rebecca and Jennifer and hung out until about 11:00.  And that point we intended to meet up with Bryan, Jeff, and Trey but instead ended up talking to Haley.  As soon as we walked up we found Aaron and Kelly in a mile long line at TDs.  Aaron decided to drag me off to Backstreets with him so I ditched the girls (how tacky of me).  Luckily Backstreets didn't have a line and we were inside in no time.  After we each took turns providing shots Aaron and Kelly left for Overtime and I stayed behind with Susie and Haley (who had decided that TDs was not worth the line).  Upon leaving Backstreets we went downstairs for Overtime.  Can you imagine my sadness when we all discovered our memberships were expired??  :(  Susie renewed hers and we were in.  I was extremely excited to discover Aaron already had a pitcher and even more excited when he gave me the money to buy more!  :)  We stayed there awhile but Aaron had already had enough to drink so he decided it was time to go home.  I ended up walking about 500 miles to get to his car (seriously, we had to walk QUITE far to BEHIND Tiger Bubble Bath).  Susie ended up going home with some guy she knows (hoochie!  go figure), Ashleigh went to Jon's, and Haley went home.  Yeah, we all split up.  Good times . . . felt like home again.

Saturday found us awake at 8:30.  I was quite surprised when Aaron got up and made breakfast before dragging me off to Kelly's again by 10:30 to start drinking.  I am proud to announce that I proved him wrong and was able to walk at 8:00 when the game started.  I ended up with Ashleigh and Susie, tailgating with Meredith and her family for a few hours before finding Ian and Casey.  It was one of the most fun times I've ever had before a game.  Catching up, seeing everyone, all the orange . . . perfection.  Once everyone left for the game Susie, Ashleigh, Dallas, Casey and I all headed over to TDs to watch the game.  We stayed there until the game was nearly over before going to Overtime to watch the final seconds.  Can you believe that with 6 seconds left Jad Dean kicked a field goal and we ended up winning by 1 point.  It was phenomenal!!  However, as exciting as it all was, not long after the game we decided we had had enough and we left for Casey's.  Aaron called sometime later but I was still car-less and pretty tired.  I am sad to admit by the time he called I was pretty much asleep on the futon with everyone talking around me.  So no more partying for Jenn....I just went to sleep instead.

After waking up at 8:30 (again) and reading until the girls got up at 9:45, we packed up and came back home.  After all of the fun and excitement I was exhausted.

No school tomorrow!  Who knew Labor Day was so great?!?!  So now I have the night free, no plans, and all day tomorrow to plan for school.  I LOVE IT.  Like I mentioned last week . . . we really deserved that weekend.  We earned it.  Clemson came through for us once again and yes, we still belong! :)
