so i'm a teacher....
This weekend was quite an interesting assortment or activities. For starters: the four new teachers end up at the Mexican Restaurant drinking margaritas and beer. Then these two new teachers (Susie and me) end up back at home and NAPPING at 7:00 at night! Oops. Sarah woke us up and came back after dinner with JD. We sat around reminiscing until she decided it was her bedtime.
Susie and Sarah both went to graduation in Clemson on Saturday. Can you believe I didn't?!?! I ended up going to Easley to have my hair cut, stopping by the School Spot YET AGAIN, and then back here. When they got back we ran around Greenville doing bullshit errands and going to the airport to pick up Taylor (her new boy of the moment). Last night was the most fun though. It started with Sarah, Taylor, Susie and me having a few drinks. Daiquiri, EVERCLEAR, Peppermint Patties . . . all yummy drinks. then Michael showed up to add an 18 pack to our alcohol collection. Soon after that we made a run for the border (Yummy Taco Bell) and then Sarah and Taylor ditched us. It was all good though because Michael and I were getting deep into the night and once I'm gone, I'm GONE. Apparently I was already passed out by the time Ian and Casey showed up but I woke up JUST for them. Yes, I'm that nice. They attempted to begin Power Hour but that didn't really happen. Oh, did I mention they brought another 18 pack (AND Susie and I had bought an 18 pack). Yeah, so we're loaded down with beer at the moment. And I ALSO didn't mention all of this was FREE. Yes, Sarah bought the liquor (that she left here) and then Taylor bought the beer and mixers. Susie and I came out on top for SURE! I don't know when I'll get around to drinking it but right now I'm feeling like we're doing pretty well.
Today after waking everyone up around 1:00 Ian, Casey, Susie, and I all headed to Panera and then to Maggie Moo's. Speaking of, I'd love to finish my ice cream right now! Dark chocolate with coconut and snocaps. Super yummy. Then they had to leave and it made me sad. Tomorrow Casey starts his co-op. He'll be making mad money but it's longer hours than I'm sure he's used to . . . fun stuff.
GOING TO CLEMSON IN TWO WEEKS TO CELEBRATE BABY IAN TURNING 20! :)
Tonight I did normal "teacher" things. I wrote a classroom newsletter (my first!) and another little note to send home tomorrow. Laundry all night too. And did I mention that I cleaned the apartment for about 4 hours today?!?! Yes, I've lost my mind. But hey, it needed to be done. Now I don't know what I'm going to do. I mean, it's 11:11 and I'm WIDE awake. I haven't had to worry about this any other time and I don't appreciate having to worry about it now. Well, we DID open a large bottle of wine last night without finishing it . . . maybe I can do that now . . .
Hahaha....another funny thing about last night: someone put Taco Bell wrappings down Susie's toilet and now it's all stopped up. How great is that? :-p
