sigh of relief!

No more worries . . . we got the word from the doctor that Ryan is okay.  Mom called me during lunch today to give me the news and I just talked to Renee to find out the details.  Apparently low hemoglobin just runs in the family, even though his iron is fine.  Of course I don't understand all the specifics but all that really matters is that he's A-OK!

Now I gotta go to Professional Leadership and take our midterm.  It's supposed to be easy.  A scenario that we have to respond to . . . and it's supposed to take an hour??  Yeah right!  :(  I hate this class and this teacher makes me CRAZY!!

I had study group last night that took up about two hours of my time.  Tonight I have class for four hours.  Tomorrow we have SCRI which results in a loss of abou 2.5-3 MORE hours before leaving PV to go to ANOTHER study group through SWU.  I bet Coggins and I will BOTH be about ready to shoot our group members by then!  But it still doesn't stop!  On Thursday we have to stay after school to interview Mr. Adams for this stupid SWU class.  Let it be known to all:  I HATE SWU!

I also found out some other shitty news today.  I already knew that in the eyes of the state I am labeled as having 0 years of experience.  I mean, I can't complain because at least they are allowing me to go through TEAM/ADEPT instead of repeating first year Induction all over again.  But at the same time . . . I think I should be allowed to be considered having a year as of December, but apparently not.  Whatever.  I wonder how that counts towards retirement?  I was pretty sure that it meant I had to work an extra semester, but not an entire year!  This also has influence over my check.  Apparently I was given a cost of living raise but I was NOT given the normal step up raise that a second year teacher receives.  Which means I'm being paid less than Coggins, Valerie, etc.  Again, I can't complain but it surely does suck!!

Enough complaints.  I'm just going to be happy that Ryan is okay!!  :)
