God must hate me...
Would you believe it if I said that, after everything last year . . . I am sans an assistant at the moment? Yup, it's true. Ms. Thomas apparently called Mr. Adams recently and told him that she had another job. Which means she won't be joining us this year. WTF? Why this again? I mean, that was the main cause of my stress last year . . . the assistant situation. And now again? Why?
On a positive note: he's looking at two of the daycare workers to fill the position. Now, if THAT happens, it'll be perfect. I went as far as to tell him that although Thomas was good with the students, she wasn't happy with the job. So far that I'm glad she's gone. However...I need SOMEONE in there! The daycare ladies (Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Adair) both WANT to be there. Those are the kinds of people that we need to be employing. Money and benefits are the same, it'll just be a change in the hours. So....I'm hoping one of them will take the position. Mr. Adams said he'd rather look outside of the school for a daycare worker instead of an assistant. I agree. I already know both women and think they are wonderful people. They are fun to talk with and I feel as if it'll be a great working/teaching environment for me AND the students.
So let's all keep our fingers crossed. And say prayers!
