Everything is going pretty well lately. I mean, really. I've been happy actually.
Tuesday was the field trip. I got to sign my contract guaranteeing my a job next year. Ian, Steven, and Brad came to visit.
Wednesday I got fitted for a smaller brace. I hung out at school half the day and went to the faculty meeting (where Mr. Adams welcomed me back). We went to dinner at Charlie's Steak House with Michael.
Thursday was absolutely wonderful! I meant to come straight home and write about it but I got caught up talking to my supercool roomie. Thursday I went to school at the end of the day so I could help out with Spring Fling. Spring Fling is something they do every year that is sponsored by PTO. When I arrived I was shocked to see rides being constructed! I mean, it was the swings and some kind of teacups like you would see at a fair. Then they had three blow up rides: the slide, an obstacle course, and the one you jump in. It was amazing really. Then we had a lot of games and facepainting. The blood bus was there taking donations and the Kid ID people. Inside was a cake walk and a bake sale. I was supposed to help sell tickets but I quickly decided that was not my cup of tea. Really, who wants to sit at the top and sell tickets with the guidance counselor and the librarian? I mean, don't get me wrong, I LIKE both women . . . I just wanted to be where the "action" was. One teacher was pissed about being there so I took over her station so she could walk her daughter around. I can't fully explain why it was so great, it just was. I think just being back and having a lot of people to talk to was great. I saw a lot of parents (they were all so concerned about me!) and a lot of my kids and such. For once I noticed how many of us younger ones we have working there. Coggins, Rebeclynne, Shawn, Reagan, Rico . . . it just sucks that next year Rebeclynne and Reagan WON'T be there. Ah well, whatever. After the event I came home and chilled with Susie. It was a great, NORMAL, night.
Friday: I got nothing. Ah yes! I drove by Brusters after tanning and I decided that I HAD to have some ice cream. Well . . . being the healthy girl that I am (yeah right), I suggested that we walk there. It isn't far, it's just on the road and all. However, we did it and it was fun! Oh yeah: if anyone has a Brusters nearby try the Graham Central Station!
Saturday: Susie and I got off our lazy butts and made some progress with pictures for the apartment. We found:
** a print of wine and glasses to put above the wine rack
** a large photo looking up at the Eiffel Tower with fireworks in the background (very vibrant!!)
** the coolest picture of multicolored martinis and olives
** a new frame to put the pictures of the Fab Five
I bought the wrong size frame to put my Phantom poster in. I lost my receipt. Does Michael's do returns without receipts? I hope so! Susie found the martini picture. We both wanted it and I told her to take it because she found it. She insisted that we flip for it and I won. I feel bad. :( But it WAS her idea. I wish I could take a picture of it . . . it is SO cool.
We need cheap patio furniture. Mom said she'd buy some from Bi-Lo but she has to wait to get paid. That'd be cool. While we were at Michael's we ran across the garden/patio decorations. I'm eager to get paid and to get furniture so we can get started on that stuff! Susie thinks this apartment is homier than the last. I really just wanna get the patio done now!
Besides all that: I got a message from Bethi saying she wanted to come eat some crabs tonight. Up until this point Susie and I had been debating the pros and cons of going to the Pirate Party in Clemson (at Marc's) tonight. With this invitation our decision was made. Joe's Crab Shack it was! It was SOOOO yummy but I was SOOOO full and gorged afterwards. Ah well, it was worth it! :) I even have leftovers. Can I still eat those tomorrow? How do I heat them? Do I heat them? I dunno . . . . After dinner we relaxed for a bit and then went back out to the Hollywood 20 to see a movie. Thad messaged me earlier and told me they would be there and maybe we could "coincidentally run into" each other. I figured why not? I wanted to see the movie, I could see Thad, get outta the house. So we went.
**Note to all readers: DO NOT NOT NOT GO SEE SILENT HILL. Crappy movie. Complete shit. No kidding.
Tomorrow I'm going to go to Union to get stuff from Mom, drop off some bills. The usual fun stuff. Thad is going home too so drop off some stuff from his dorm. Works out perfectly. I'll drag myself outta bed in time to make it home for (free) lunch and then to a movie with Thad. Then I'll drive back here and spend the rest of the day "wallering" and Susie put it earlier. I'm content with that.
Girly doctor on Monday . . . . hmmmm. We'll see.
Charleston to see Mike on Thursday. :) I'm excited.
