shhh!! it's a secret

I had a pretty good day today. I know, THAT'S the secret. It doesn't happen much these days but today I was happy. I can say I made it through the day with NO tears. Yay for me! And especially yay for Susie too.

It started out pretty rocky with some mild arguments with Mom and Nana. Nana and I are butting heads quite a bit lately. I think it's mainly because she is just accustomed to saying something and me listening. However, lately she is being too over the top and I'm standing up a bit for myself and actually having opinions. She takes EVERYTHING so personally. Whatever, it isn't worth discussing.

Susie showed up a bit after 1:00 with bubble tea from O-Cha. Now if that isn't kick ass I don't know what is!! I LOVE bubble tea and I LOVE Susie! When Susie showed up she had news: we are no longer moving to 185K (right beside our current building), we are now moving to 101A (facing the road RIGHT when you turn in). It doesn't really matter to me. NOW we're in the same building as Valerie and Julie, two other first year teachers. Maybe we'll actually hang out now, who knows?

Anyways, after hanging out here for awhile Susie and I went to visit Mom at Farm Bureau and showed her our new layout for the apartment and then we headed to El Jalisco for "lunch" at 4:30. Yeah, I'm a late eater these days. We ended up staying for over an hour just catching up, talking about school, and dissecting the "why's" and "what-ifs" of the accident. I told her I didn't know how I'd ever make it up to her for putting her through all of that. She said as long as I never do it again we're good. I think I can manage that.

Afterwards we went by a cute new place (yes, Union has its moments) and found some cute new luggage that I must have. :) Sadly it's called Almost Pink. Yeah well, whatever. Unfortunately we had to cut the trip short because of issues from the accident. I was really in the mood to go to the theater but of course it was closed and I couldn't stay out until it opened. I think I'm starting to itch to get out . . . .

Tomorrow Rent comes out on DVD~Go buy it! I wish I could go home and watch it with Susie . . . at least I know she would appreciate it! For the rest of the week I have to deal with trips to the doctor (for more pain pills), therapy, and even trips to Greenville for the doctor (that will be NO fun).

My birthday was 2 months ago. That marks another anniversary too . . . . So I have 10 more months until my 24th! I remember some one else's 24th birthday. Ass.
