Whirlwind
I have been looking over old posts and it's amazing how frequently I posted when I actually had a life and how I neglect my poor livejournal these days. Well, not neglect, but it is devoid of anything of substance. My apologies.
School last week went just swimmingly (don't know why I came up with that, just ignore me). I basically spent the week doing not much of anything but that's no surprise. In fact, on Friday I was so ridiculously tired that Susie and I came home from El Tejano with the girls and after a couple of hours of TV we both fell asleep and ended up in bed by 10:00! Yes, on a Friday. No, I'm not lying. Oops.
Saturday was much better. My mommy came to see me and the three of us went all around the exit (Dollar Tree, CVS twice, Wal-Mart, Bi-Lo, Kohls, Blockbuster, lunch . . . EVERYWHERE!) looking for super cool treats for my 5K Halloween party. When she left Susie and I once again settled in for a night of TV. Sometime around this part of the day I begin to think maybe I DO want to go out after all. I message Rebeclynne and she gives me the okay. However, lazy ass Rebeclynne eventually backs out on me. :( Oh the pain! The later it got, the antsier I got! I finally messaged Casey and asked if he was at Marc's. Of course. He said I didn't have to dress up. I alerted Susie to our new plans and we were soon getting ready for our trip to Clemson. I assured her the entire trip would include alcohol and take less than 12 hours. (Of course I was right) We got to Clemson around 12:30 (no surprise there) but it wasn't bad because at 1:00 our phones set themselves back to 12:00. YEAH FOR TIME CHANGES! We earned an extra hour out. The best part of the party was probably laughing at the idiot girls that showed up. There were some issues that need to be addressed but I'm just so beyond it right now I refuse. We were some of the last to leave and we were off to Casey's for a good night's sleep. As promised we were up by 8:30 and on our way back to Simpsonville.
I MEANT to spend Sunday lounging and TV catching up. And I did for the most part. Well, until I sent Aaron a message informing him that he needed to visit this week because of my mouth surgery on Thursday. He wasn't totally opposed to the idea but claims he didn't have the time. Instead I was told it was my turn to come there. I argued the point but . . . I was definitely in the loser position. I knew eventually he would realize that he's left here between 4:00-5:00 AM twice now and that soon it would be my turn. Well, he realized it and pointed it out. Damn. So yeah, I went. This all happened pretty early but knowing that I have plans later throws me off the rest of the day. Rebeclynne came over to "plan" but we ended up gossiping and playing on the computer. We wasted time helping each other with texts (yeah, go figure, we're girls okay?!?!) and a dinner break at Moe's (WELCOME TO MOE'S!!) Nice. Like I said, TV was shot after that so I got ready for Clemson. I also spent this time catching up with Sarah. It was nice to reconnect and see what was up. I'm glad I'll be seeing the girls in the next two weeks. :)
Clemson went as expected. Aaron sent a message earlier than expected saying I could come over so I headed out. It's a bit odd for me to travel that late at night knowing how early I had to be up this morning but I can handle it. We chatted, he doesn't like my mom, the usual....whatever. :) Good times, good times. Hopefully Aaron, Bart, and Dale will all show for the Bar Crawl that Jaime and I planned. It'll be great either way but they'll be an added bonus. :) I got up this morning at 5:15 and was on the road by 5:24. I'm impressed with myself! I had completely planned to get ready there but then he informed me they had no heat. Uh....if you know me, that's my own person hell. :( Body heat for warmth (plus a comfy long tee) and then I was out the door. I feel productive to say the least. :)
The day went GREAT today! I expected chaos but was happily surprised with an imposter class. We had a good, (mostly) quiet day. Centers even went well. We finished everything we had planned. Jacob's mom had the DVD player set up, Anthony's mom brought ice and cupcakes (and a gift for me) :) and we had plenty of leftovers. I am happy with my first ever 5K party. SUCCESS!
My secret pal gave me a gift certificate for Tequila's (a Mexican Restaurant close by). I'M EXCITED. I also found out Mrs. Latimer is helping my secret pal. Cheater!
Only one more day of teaching. Tomorrow night I think will be for Mexican. Wednesday will be our field trip (can't wait). Wednesday night I'm going home. Thursday is the surgery. Not worried yet. Won't be back to town until Sunday. (Yeah right). AND THEN THE NEXT WEEK WILL BE FSU WITH JAIME AND SARAH!! Everything looks good from where I'm sitting.
