"i know i'm just an amateur...but i gotta try"

last night i got some really good bark-y coffee at this serbian coffeeshop called "algebra" ironically nestled into Cleveland's "little italy." good times. So i was reading in the news about those stupid army recruiters that always annoyed you in the high school cafeteria while you were minding your own business, always asking you, "do you feel like you could use some more direction in your life?" and apparently over the course of the last 5 years or so, all of those recruiters have been gathering information on all of us- major privacy issue-style. Now I have friends who've been in the military and it's all fine and good- but why the hell does the pentagon need to know everything about me- isn't the routine that the govt. already knows too much anyways? do they really need to find new outlets for this kinda thing? oh well... as long as they don't attempt a draft- i mean, i agree with what they are doing, but the info collection does seem a tad suspicious and unnecessary.

anyways...

sigur ros is coming in concert.

meat loaf too. a guilty pleasure indeed.

glenn and I are still writing stuff in preparation of recording our rock opera - with the hit song,

"My Favorite Letter In The Alphabet (Of Love) Is You"

gloriously cheesy- i know- that's kinda the conceit. but just you wait kiddies- it will knock your friggin socks off (or sandals if you live in california)

Hopefully by tomorrow i will know when in the next couple weeks my interview out in la will be- no kidding this time folks- it's the real deal- an excellent firm (among excellent firms) called tighe architecture should be calling me back with in the next two or three days. keep the fingers crossed.

ahh... now i'm no longer listening to nada- instead i'm listening to "You Gave Your Love to Me Softly" by the =w=
