Chaos and order
As I read the newest headlines, and I watch as Dick Cheney et al strikes flintstone to create sparks over the oil-soaked region of the world, I can't help but realize how fragile our neat little planet is. We're so much closer to something terrible than most anyone would care to admit, and it's a little scary.
I feel sometimes like we should all be enjoying our lives to the fullest, but that we're restricted from doing so because of the way our social fabric is woven. What can we do to break out of this mold?
I sometimes wish that I were at home with my family, spending time with mom and dad, and other times, I wish that I were journeying on trips, meeting new people and seeking out new places. There's so much to experience, yet so little opportunity to do so... and with every passing day, the window of opportunity shuts just a little bit more.
