In phineas_gatsby's fic, Rex comments that he made a request of Bree when they were newly married. So this is like a super-prequel to her fic, in which we see that scene play out. Because it seemed too ridiculous to just let go.

So I'm definitely feeling what you were when you read the other part...totally fun both to know what's coming and not to know. (I get the feeling that not staying up with you for six hours discussing potential stories might be beneficial to, y'know, the stories' actually getting written. hahaha)

I liked catching all the lines we made up, because, hey, that's fun. And then there was THIS gem:

“No, I said that it was ridiculous that all of the doctors were having sex at the hospital with other doctors,” he qualified. “And that isn’t true,” he hastened to assure her. Which is made all-the-funnier by your comments re: Grey's Anatomy.

And I liked Bree's trying to hide her disappointment, because even now, in the early twenties, she's learning how to be that which she will become--and his mild annoyance is going to grow. So it's sadly prophetic, even in the funny.

And I agree, "All I Ask of You" is a cute title. I was looking for a lascivious line from it to quote, but that song really isn't lascivious at all, so...

Oh! And I liked the mention that Rex doesn't like to make decisions because, um, definitely true. And this is how he came to let her make all the decisions.
