Sometimes the evil leaks out

So the other night, while my honey is watching NCIS, the initial murder victim was found to have been stretched on a rack. At the commercial I turned and asked my honey, "Is it wrong of me to want to know if they used a plank rack or wheel rack?". The answer is apparently yes.

Then this morning in the shower, I was thinking. Gee the Deathstar was a poorly thought out idea. Oh sure it's impressive, very scary in that "planet go boom?" sort of way. But really it was only a military contractor's wet dream. Built twice and only pulled off it's job once. Then there is the whole issue of getting it from one system to another. Was it really built for inter system travel? "Ah Alderan is completely destroyed. Take us to the next target." "Certainly sir, we should arrive in...308 years. 307 if we really push it."

It makes more sense to simply use what is in the system. Hey, they have tractor beams. "Guess what? You've pissed off the Emperor, so we're going to drop a local moon on your damn planet. Boom. Have a nice day. Sorry we have to skip a couple systems over to deliver a very pointed message." Heck it could be accomplished by bureaucrats on a fraction of the budget!

I am sometimes a bad man.
