Yes, Lisa E was finally rewarded for her years of hard work, talent, grace and generosity with an award: the People's Choice Award for best TV drama actress. I was so happy and even more so after I finally was able to watch her acceptance speech in full. First, I missed the first half of the speech because I was streaming on my Mac while typing comments in
iwatchforcuddy and monitoring Twitter. Then, my Mac shut down from overheating when I was trying to watch it again on YouTube! (ongoing issue...) Luckily, I have a smartphone and I finally saw it that way. She was so genuinely excited, nervous, almost giddy: so sweet. Then she listed several online fans and fan communities who she felt were representative of her fan base that helped her win. This is a transcript (with thanks to
@partypantscuddy):
"Wow.. I’ve never won an award! I’m gonna take a picture! Everybody pose! Oh wait.. I’m taking a picture of myself! Everybody pose now! That’s great! Thank you so much! Uh.. It’s so exciting. I’m thrilled! I - I.. You know, I would love to thank my bosses for giving me the best job I’ve ever had and my parents for letting me do it. And uhm also a few of the people who actually voted. Let’s see… I told my parents to vote but they weren’t tech savy enough to vote as many times as some of these people did. Let’s see I picked random ones that sounded interesting to me..

Yes, yours truly was included!!!! First time I've been thanked on national TV, albeit under a pseudonym... I've tried to provide links to all mentioned. Note that "TeamLisaEdelstein" is not a person or group but actually a Twitter hash tag-it's easy to get confused of course. Also, Lisabians (people who may be lesbian fans or at least would become so if only for Lisa E ;-) ) don't have one gathering spot but at least two. Here's the video, enjoy!

It has been a fantastic experience to be involved in all this. Something to never forget ;-) Lots of fun, even for this old man... :-) A bit in the tradition of the recent fabulous
"Handing Love" fan video, here's my heartfelt thank you to Lisa for her shout-out:
