Another great House ep. SPOILEROONIES

I noticed some discussion about the ending: Cuddy's hurt when she finds out that House did after all lie to her in order to save the patient's life. I'm not sure why she is so upset. Surely House isn't going to give in on that pivotal point: treatment of patient comes before Cuddy's feelings if push comes to shove. That doesn't mean he enjoys it the way he used to. He doesn't but it is who he is, without his maverick "doctoring" he's just another washed-up cripple albeit with an incredibly hot, smart and fun girlfriend. They'll work it out. They do indeed have to talk about it though. Actually, he went out of his way this time to provide a cover for her, i.e., a smartly fake-but-not-fake test so the paper trail is OK, Cuddy can't be blamed. Also, this senator's test was really a 99% proof of Dugan's having Hep C albeit not in a legal sense. The truth was that House did prove it for all intents and purposes, without forcing Cuddy to clean up the mess of him disobeying her after the fact. No, it's not fun but he did what he had to do: the best of two flawed solutions.

If you'd like to read more on this, do check out maya295  's imaginary counseling session with Cuddy. Here's an animated gif by anascully of the final scene with Lisa E's superb-as-always acting:
