S.P.O.I.L.E.R.
Lately, Bones is interesting, funny, and sometimes poignant, sweet (see, e.g.,
bonesparticulat ); House M.D. on the other hand is bitter, sarcastic, torturous, and sometimes poignant, bittersweet. The former has grown on me to the point that it is my favorite show. The latter has worn me out to the point where I only still watch it because I can't help but still wanting to know what happens to the characters a little. Known Unknowns is a case in point. House dances with Cuddy at the conference's '80s party and the truth comes out about their encounter 20 years ago. The moment could have been sweet but of course it is immediately interrupted and a bit later obliterated by the accidental exposure of Cuddy's involvement with Lucas-is it just me or did he look like he was on drugs or something in Cuddy's room? his eyes... Just in case any fans would be forgiving, TPTB then proceeds to post a "happy family" promo picture with Lucas, Cuddy and Rachel. Thrust the knife and then twist it, yeah!
