Season 6 is not looking good?

Let's recap the recent leaks and speculation about Huddy in House M.D.'s next season (starting Sep. 21st).

From bobbinberg (works for the show) on Twitter:
2 days off while HOUSE on location ...lucky me :) lucky them :) season premiere coming up about 10 hours ago from web

From writer Doris_Egan's Twitter:
The adventures continue. http://pics.livejournal.com...1 hour ago from web

This pic seems then to point at a shooting location outside Los Angeles. It could be relatively closeby though, e.g., Big Bear. Then there's Ausiello:

... a few network suits, too. See, they’re the only obstacle that a certain popular TV couple can’t seem to overcome.
For seasons now, one stumbling block has been placed in front of another to keep the dynamic duo apart. But, finally, at the end of last season, viewers were supposed to get the big get-together for which they’d been waiting. The love story’s happy ending - or real beginning, as it were - was all planned out.
Unfortunately, the execs got cold feet.
Terrified that, without the constant “Will-they-or-won’t-they?” tension between the two, viewers would instead wonder “Why are we watching this?” - Moonlighting, anyone? - the net asked producers to delay the hook-up, and our gratification. So a new wall was blueprinted and built between the would-be sweethearts.
Mind you, the couple will eventually get together - the season after this one, if the powers that be are to be believed. It’ll just take a little longer than it was supposed to.

This could be Huddy but I think it's more likely to be Brennan & Booth from Bones. A day earlier, Ausiello wrote:

Question: Have you seen the House season premiere? I heard there were some steamy goings-on between House and she-who-shall-not-be-named. As a Huddy fan, I’m slightly annoyed that we got a hallucination and the new girl gets the real thing! -Alice

Ausiello: Yes, I’ve seen the premiere. And yes, there are some steamy goings-on between House and Franka Potente she-who-shall-not-be-named. As far as it being a slap in the face to Huddy fans, I would urge you to watch the (mostly excellent) episode before drawing any conclusions. I consider myself a Huddy fan and it didn’t really bother me - but that’s probably because I possess insider knowledge that Huddy is far from over. Plus, as exec producer Katie Jacobs points out, sex is so overrated. “The thing is this: real sparks and chemistry, which is what House and Cuddy have, are there,” she says. “That’s sort of hard to create. I don’t personally get hung up on whether they have sex, per se. I don’t mean any disrespect to the fans. Sex is great. But, whether they do it or not is sort of not the issue, exactly. They have an attraction. It’s an intense attraction. It’s intellectual. It’s physical. Where it will lead in the future, I really don’t know. But it has not dissipated.”

Question: Have we found out what brings Michael Weston’s Lucas back to House?

Ausiello: I’m not sure if we have, but I have. Remember me telling you last week about the little business trip House, Wilson, and Cuddy go on in episode 7? Well, I hear Lucas is tagging along!

I for one am not looking forward to PI Lucas to return. I found him an inconsequential character that didn't make much sense in the plot and was dropped suddenly without explanation. Rumors (re-?)attach him to Cuddy: shudder! About a week ago, Ausiello also wrote:

Question: I need some good House-Cuddy scoop. -Lynne

Ausiello: They’re going on a trip! I mean, it’s a business trip, but still. During November sweeps, House, Cuddy, and Wilson will attend a medical conference together. What do you want to bet the hotel screwed up their reservation and they all have to share a bed?! I’m in for $10.

Someone else linked with the show, freelancer__ keeps tweeting a lot but it is private. Via house_cuddy, we learn that (s)he said recently (in reverse chronological order):

"By the way, bribe all you want, I am NOT saying a thing about the new pairing. I don't even want to imagine the consequences."

"For those who are asking, it is pretty much a combination of at least 3 or 4 pairings combined, plus, there MIGHT be a new one."

"As for episode 8, it feels kind of "shippy" - for lack of a better word."

And furthermore:

@vitawash It's been 5 years, afterall (and counting...)

@vitawash I don't know if this is a general feeling, but a lot of them complained to me about having lost patience.
about 2 hours ago from twhirl in reply to vitawash

@vitawash Let's see how many of them will stick after midseason.
about 2 hours ago from twhirl in reply to vitawash

@mae_vaughan That they are. I've witnessed some nasty Huddy x Hameron showdowns when I used to post at SpoilerTV and Ausiello's blog.

@vitawash Perhaps the shift in storylines are to blame? I get the sense that things weren't as bad when they were not front and center.
about 2 hours ago from twhirl in reply to vitawash

@enigma731 It is (will be) somewhat understandable. I do not approve of the storyline. But then again, I don't follow the fandom that close.
about 2 hours ago from twhirl in reply to enigma731

@mae_vaughan Seriously. It's bad. And they scare me. I fear for human kind.
about 2 hours ago from twhirl in reply to mae_vaughan

@enigma731 I can tell you I wouldn't want to be anywhere near a "Huddy" shipper - or fandom - during november sweeps. I'll shush now.
about 2 hours ago from twhirl in reply to enigma731

@mae_vaughan, @enigma731 all fanbases are in for a rollercoaster ride. I do foresee a LOT of drama for a particular fanbase, though.
about 2 hours ago from twhirl

@mae_vaughan I agree, I don't think anything you see in regards to "ships" this season should be taken at face value.

So, after the curve ball of the 1st episode, November sweeps look treacherous too... I have a hard staying optimistic, too much Huddy drama just for the heck of it. I'll say it one more time: I envision them together in private but nothing much changing at the hospital, if anything the bantering could get even more fun because of the extra layer. A bickering couple, just like now, but sleeping together and being a (dys)functional family. Lots of story lines are then waiting about Cuddy's family, how House (doesn't) deal(s) with them, etc. Baby Rachel would also be fun to see.

Finally, Fox and Shore & Co. released a video about a publicity photo shoot with the main cast. No apparent direct connection with the new season plotwise but fun and interesting nevertheless. Re Huddy, Laurie was much involved in the ideas for this shoot and, guess what, Edelstein is the only one after Laurie to have several "parts" to play: sunbathing beauty in a cute bikini on top of an RV, Elizabeth-I-like queen and in a nice dress. This of course gives everybody who adores Lisa Edelstein/Lisa Cuddy hope. Shore giveth and taketh...?
