What a way to open, huh?
This is one of those nights where I don't feel like doing anything. I've restarted selling vintage again, although nothing has sold yet. It's mostly my own clothes. I went through my closet and everything fits now that I've lost weight, but I'd rather buy new clothes. I've lost 40 pounds over the last two years!
As for writing, I've been working on non-fiction personal essays. It's rough, exhuming emotions and situations from the past, even the recent past. I lost my therapist a few months ago when she left her agency. I'm still talking to my psychiatrist on Zoom but it's not the same. However, I've been working with a writing coach for motivation and for getting over my fear of putting my stuff out there.
We went on a trip to the UK. London, where I got to see @dizzojay! The tough part of the trip was having my knees replaced on February 28 and June 6. I decided to get them both done before the trip (getting older is SO much fun!). Also my spinal pain was really bad, so I was in pain the entire trip. HOWEVER, we got to stay with @flywoman in her nice new house in Cambridge, which was delightful. Then we flew to Dublin for all too short a visit, then Nottingham, which is the most boring industrial city I've been to. Jeff was attending an international conference on stuttering, held by an organization called STAMMA. He had a great time, anyway. I connected with a Facebook friend, and we don't know why we're friends, i.e. how we originally met. When we were back in London, I reconnected with a guy I went to high school with. It was kind of depressing. He's drinking and his life is in a shambles. THANK GOD I got sober!
Dammit, I can't find any pictures of our trip. What kind of tourist am I, anyway?
