I am terrible at numbers! I keep trying to count and I just can't.
Our July 4th was uneventful except for it sounding like my neighborhood being bombed into oblivion. Poor Fletcher was an utter mess. It went on until practically dawn! We don't go out on the 4th. You can't watch the fireworks live because there are so many thousands of people. And in our neighborhood you get the charming combination of guns and fireworks. No, thank you.
Jeff and I are trying to come to a resolution about things to be done to/in our apartment. We've lived here for at least 25 years, and we guess we'll live here until we have to go to nursing homes. It's a rental, but that doesn't mean we can't make it more livable. We need a new bathroom sink. The space is tight, so the landlord keeps putting in these cheapo vanities with tiny sinks. The bottoms disintegrate because they're made with cheap pressed wood. After much talk with the super, I'm going to buy a pedestal sink. Anything more complicated and the landlord won't let us do anything with the plumbing.
I've been working with an organizer on the ungodly stacks of papers, photos and assorted crap in my home office. He's been pretty impressed by how much I'm willing to throw out. Being able to hand things to someone else to bag or shred makes such a huge difference. It's another week until Jacob comes back and I haven't touched any of it. We're also going to hire someone to hang our pictures. Most have been sitting in boxes for years since we got the place painted! Jeff is working way, way too hard. He's talking about possibly retiring next year. We have to figure out how that will affect our finances, since my disability isn't much. Fortunately we don't plan on buying property, we don't own a car or have kids.
23. Do you have any dietary restrictions?
None that aren't self-imposed. I can't stand anything I was force-fed as a kid, so a lot of green veggies.
24. Are you more of a visual learner or an auditory learner?
I don't know.
25. Which of your good habits has made the biggest positive difference in your life?
Right offhand I can't think of any! I eat a relatively balanced diet. It was how I was raised (when not being force fed). I eat too much sugar and my portions are very large. But I'm not a fan of fried food and a lot of sweets don't taste good to me. A lot do, though!
26. What is your favorite tea brand?
Twinings. I only drink real tea, almost never herbal.
27. What's a hobby you've been thinking about starting?
28. If I stepped into your shower, what is the first item I would notice?
29. Did you go to your high school’s homecoming dance?
30. Who taught you how to drive?
