The panel was a whopping success! We had great attendance, my co-mod libraralien gave a smooth, polished presentation. I kind of felt like I gabbled a tad, but Jeff assured me I did well. The discussion was interesting, too, save for one woman who didn't get the idea and kept talking about Starsky And Hutch. Yeah, that's an early 20th century English fandom if ever there was one. If there is someway to link to the slides I'll do so.
I mostly hung around the Discord, but attended another panel, Writing Historical Fandoms, which was also very good. Last night my Sunday Zoom group held our first in person meeting! Everyone brought tons of food and wine. Jeff made a delicious pasta ricotta casserole, and we brought seltzer and some ginger beer that was nasty. I just can't get over how wonderful it is to see people in the flesh!
My oldest sister flew in from California last weekend. We hadn't seen each other since November 2019. The three of us had dinner at this sensation Chinese restaurant that re-opened around the corner. First she came up to take a look at our apartment for her opinion on moving some furniture around. Sis's advice wasn't really helpful. I was hoping to see my brother this morning but he's already left for Fire Island.
