I haven't posted in days, so here's a little tiny post.
1) I read Washington Square by Henry James. I'd previously found James unreadable. But I picked up this book on the laundry room give away table and I started it while doing a mountain of laundry. It was a pretty easy read for me, although I like the movie much more. There's a lot of words for the amount of story. Next up, Corvus, which flywoman sent me for Christmas.
1a) I mailed her Christmas present yesterday. Oog.
2) My day to day level of existential dread has definitely dropped now that Orange Stain is out of the White House. Naturally I watched the impeachment trial. The managers' case was amazing. But of course those cowardly GOP assholes weren't going to go against their former leader.
3) Jeff got vaccinated! We've been so lucky that he's considered an essential worker! I might be able to get it sooner rather than later because of having had cancer in 2015.
4) Talking to my therapist, I said, "I'm lonely and bored". "Everybody is lonely and bored," she replied.
5) Last night we dined indoors for the first time. It's a tiny Japanese restaurant with the best sushi in our corner of NYC.
