So, my sister was visiting. I'll write more about that later. Not much to remark upon, it was a pleasant visit, there was stuff with my mother, again, later.
So. Mom is sleeping, so we walk around the neighborhood to do some errands. Mom needs batteries for her TV remote, Tessa wants to look at shoes, etc. So we walk into a stationery store. I've been looking for a refill for my engagement diary (love to call it that). There was nothing there. Tessa got a pack of batteries. While she was paying, I leaned back on the counter...
What I thought was the counter. It was, in fact, a large display of tiny pads in metal tins with attached tiny pens. It went crashing to the floor, all of the tiny pads scattering everywhere. Apologizing like crazy, I ran out the door. When Tessa came out, I said, "there's somewhere I can never go again." "At least I bought something," she replied.
