Thanks to everyone who made suggestions for action movies. I watched "The Count of Monte Cristo" on YouTube, which was very helpful! (It was 13 parts in 10-minute sections.) Also some Napoleonic battle scenes.
Now I'm trying to figure out how two people can ride a horse. Earlier in story House stayed on a horse bareback by holding onto a leather strap tied around the horse (thanks to
little_details . ) Now he's riding with a man in a saddle, and I can't find any videos for it except for some lousy video game. House can't actually ride a horse because you have to grip with your legs. And I don't feel like devoting two useless chapters to finding him a sidesaddle and teaching him how to use it!
Our accountant didn't show up for our early morning meeting! ARGH. But at least we got our taxes done.
Now if I could only pull my brain out of the mud and keep going on with the story. Like many others around here, I have the summer cold of DOOM. Congestion, headache, sore throat, cough...oh well, I started this story when I had the flu and was out of my gourd on Robitussin. Maybe THAT'S what I need! Cough medicine!
BTW, I watched some season two House and was struck by how different (and mature and funny) his relationship with Stacy was then his relationship with Cuddy. I'm not a big fan of Sela Ward, but the character was strong and well-written, and when he was with her, he was relaxed and sweet in a way we rarely see. And when they fought she was almost as witty as he was. Just sayin'.
