In The Meantime...
At some point I'll get around to posting about the movies I've seen and the books I've read, but right now I'm doing the laundry, changing the litter box (AUGH) and doing other chores before I go down to my mother's.
So I just want to say that I have been doing a rewatch of "House", which is available On Demand through Sept. 22. I skipped a bunch of S1 because they are engraved on my brain. So I'm rewatching S2 and GODDAMN IS IT A GREAT SHOW! Hugh Laurie really does seem like a different actor than the guy doing comedy in the 1990s. The writing, the characters, and best of all, no "redemption arc". Every show that has tried to duplicate it since has the hero have some Deep Trauma that they must come to terms with. Fuck that noise. I still identify with House. Bitter, taking pills, using a cane (less often now), atheist. BOY, it feels good!
Plus since I ship House/Wilson like WOAH, there is so much slashy goodness!
