I am so pissed about Carl dying I want to shriek from the rooftops. I didn't watch the episode, I followed on live chat. I knew I wouldn't be able to take it. It's DVR'd. I loved Carl and this gratuitous death crap gets to me, in part because the relentless nihilism is just too fucking much. We already had devastated!Rick when Lori died, then again when Jessie died. I would have much rather they offed Judith. Especially because Carl had an interesting narrative arc in the comics.
PLUS, according to Chandler's father, the show had promised him 3 more years. Then fired him 2 days before his 18th birthday, telling him when they were filming Ep.8x6.
