Welp, seems to be it for me and Supernatural
I completely forgot when the season started. Then I didn't make any effort to watch the premiere. Then I didn't set the DVR. Then I forgot it was on again last night.
All of the plot points seem ridiculous and old hat. Another Knight of Hell?? Another self-aggrandizing white guy? What is this, The Walking Dead? I mean, COME ON.
Jack as Sam. Dean and his eternal man-pain. Mary and Lucifer walking around the AU. Castiel will come back doing whatever "new" thing Castiel does before his limited acting range is discovered and he goes back to being the old Castiel. No Crowley. Yes, Crowley was another third wheel, but at least he was funny. Old characters tossed in to the AU so the fans can say, "Oh! look! Bobby! Other dead character! Nobody's really dead on this show!" (which removes any gravitas from their deaths). Sam with nothing better to do than mother hen Jack...

And Wayward Daughters. As much as I love the idea, watching Claire is like having bamboo shoots under my fingernails.
As much as I adore Jensen and Jared, and the wonderful work they do for the fandom, charity, etc., their lack of forward momentum, telling the same stories at conventions, etc., is getting old. Very old.
Meanwhile, The Walking Dead is coming back. And Mr. Robot, which I am actually excited about.
