If Wilson is there at all, he's probably has a bit part as a saloon girl.

Hey, if Cuddy will don male Western clothes, then maybe Wilson in a salon girl dress isn't such a crazy idea. It could help increase those ratings! LOL.

But seriously, keep in mind that these are supposed to be dreams, and we don't know whose dreams. But it very likely is Cuddy's since she stars in it, so maybe she feels that she and House are being attacked. It may not mean that TPTB view them as Butch and Sundance, though to be fair, they might also.

If they give me a singing duet between House and Wilson I will forgive them the rest of the episode.

I posted the original picture at the end of the entry.

Actually, the girl was some chick in a long white nightgown.

I find it very amusing that the writer of the blurb says So, fans, brace yourselves for House the musical.

Even the critics know it's crap.

And it is Cuddy dreaming after she pees blood. Maybe House gave her an STD. He's been with hookers, after all.

I posted the original closing shot for comparison purposes.

Even in the H/C comms, they're worried about whether or not this is going to be good or terrible.

Yeah, I haven't even told my mom who loves that movie SO much what is coming up. I'm afraid of this....

I'm not raging as much about the House/Cuddy in that picture (because I think I've gotten to a point when I've stopped caring; I don't watch the show anymore anyway), but more the fact that I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY'VE BASTARDIZED THE ICONIC IMAGE OF BUTCH AND SUNDANCE GOING OUT IN A BLAZE OF GLORY.

Newman and Redford OR GTFO.

Still, the show was good while it was good. Once they can't find meaning beyond romance, the writers lose the meaningful aspects of the show. Just hormones and soap opera and sitcom.

Wise words.

Hear! Hear! You don't mess with the original bromance. I wasn't happy to see how Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid blew women's pictures out of the water for decades, but hell, it ushered in an age of great buddy movies and television with House and Wilson the direct descendants of a forty-two year old tradition.

TPTB melded Holmes and Watson with Butch and Sundance and came up with House and Wilson. Now they want to negate the last six years of the show for a cheap ratings stunt. How desperate can they get.

I read the debate over at HWLOL. It's hard when people don't have a sense of movie history. I know EXACTLY what you meant! I have a feminist book on movies by Molly Haskell, "From Reverence To Rape", which was written during the height of the buddy story. I've been a movie buff my whole life and assuming that I'm the same age as many of the people who work on the show (or older) I'm pretty appalled that no one seems to care. They'd probably say, "Can't you take a joke?"

No.

Yeah, I tried finding some essays online about the plight of current day actresses. Thanks for the reference.

Most creatives have a reverence and love for film history. Didn't anyone from [H]ouse take Film 101 when they were in college?

FWIW, here's the YouTube link to the final scene of Butch Cassidy. This suits House and Wilson to a 'T.' Well, at least it did in previous seasons.
